Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has praised his team-mate Marcus Rashford, stating that the forward is “a special kid”.

Despite often being deployed out wide rather than in his preferred central striking berth, Rashford has enjoyed an encouraging start to the season that has seen him score five goals and provide four assists across all competitions.
Mata believes that Rashford’s consistency means that he will be a huge asset for both United and England.
As reported by ESPN, Mata said: “I think he has been brilliant. I think he is a special kid. He has a lot of talents and he has got a good mentality which is important at that age.
“He is performing very well, week in week out – even coming from the bench he is helping a lot.
“I really believe he is going to be a big player for club and country. I see so many players at that age and they don’t keep consistency, but I believe he can because he has the right mentality for that.”

How Manchester United are sharing the goals around their squad this season
Last season United were heavily dependent on striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for goals but Mata remarked how lots of different players are now contributing in an attacking sense.
He said: “I think we have 10 players that have scored this season already. That’s a lot and speaks very well of the team, and that is the big reason for the good start.
“Anthony, Marcus, Jesse when he comes in the team is playing very good, Mkhitaryan is playing well and is doing great things. I think everyone is doing their bit, and I believe that the manager is happy with that.”
Possessing excellent technique and capable of bursting his way past opponents with ease, Rashford has continued to develop well since breaking into the United first-team in the second half of the 2015/16 season.
The 19-year-old is also now an important player for England and will be aiming to make an impact in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Lithuania.
